It's my birthday and I'll do what I want to (within reason.) When I was a kid I never thought I'd make it to this time in my life, HONESTLY I can remember thinking 21 is way too old and I don't see it BUT I'm here and its awesome. We're instilled with this idea that we're owed life and we're wrong, this is one of those moments when I realize that every second I have is a gift from God and life is fragile (WAY MORE FRAGILE THAN WE KNOW!) So celebrate with me and live it up!
The Butterfly Houses (known locally as "Soe Ker Tie Hias") in Noh Bo, Tak, Thailand are an enclave of 6 prefabricated mini-sized iron wood and bamboo woven houses designed to provide shelter for orphans. They're also inspiring examples of functional architecture with an inherent beauty of simplicity, thanks to the use of natural, local and recycled materials used to construct the impressive multi-level homes for children…
So I had the first class of my "last" session today (psychology) and I said my goal aloud. Outside of film making I've always wanted to go to space, be apart of the program, and spend some time in the ISS, but haven't known how to go about it. Recently I inquired and discovered that in order to be considered you have to have a degree in math, science, or engineering, and three years of practical use. Of course my ultimate goal is to make movies BUT my dream (the kind little kids refer to when you ask them what they want to be when they grow up and they respond "a doctor!") is to go to space! So when I get the money I plan on attending another accredited university, studying science or engineering (cause math is STUPID) going through the process and applying for the space program! I mean if the opportunity's there -- WHY NOT? Here's a photo from the ISS.
While on one of his many films, director Andrei Tarkovsky took a polaroid camera and began to shoot photos of individuals, landscapes, and moments that he came across. What resulted were a series of what I believe to be some of the most awe-inspiring photos that I have ever seen. Here is a taste.
So had a recent God talk with a friend and what I found out is, for some people, even if God exists it doesn't matter, they don't care! I don't know what to do with that bit of information do you? It says a lot about the hopelessness of our species and when you get to that point you loose your will to survive. (Live, Breed, Die)
The King Rat video was directed by Heath Ledger, co-directed and illustrated by Daniel Auber with lead animation by Norris Houk, animation by Jade Taglioli and produced by Sara Cline of THE MASSES.
In January of 2007, while visiting his homeland of Australia, Heath Ledger presented Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse with an idea to direct a video for their yet-to-be-released song ‘King Rat’. Heath’s vision, brave and unapologetic in its nature, would marry his love of bold and original music with his impassioned stance against the illegal commercial whale hunts taking place of the coast of Australia each year. Always one to operate from his heart and take a stand for what he cared deeply about, Heath's intention was to raise awareness on modern whaling practices through a potent visual piece without having to say a word. It was his way to let the story, in its candid reversal, speak for itself.
The video was fully conceived down to the last detail but unfinished when Heath passed away in January of 2008. In the interest of fully realizing Heath’s final work as a visual artist, THE MASSES (a film and music company which Heath was a partner in) finished the video in his honor, with the support and advocacy of Isaac Brock.
PREFACE So Kanye did this video "Ego" remixing Beyonce's version (I'm late...so? haha) and it makes people sick. I constantly hear comments like "Kanye would do a video about his ego." Look the man says what he says don't be mad if he's right. If he wasn't as good as he says he is then that'd be one thing, but he really is as good as he says. I'm not saying he doesn't do some stuff that is over the top, but who doesn't, and just cause he's one of the only people who practices what he preaches and doesn't hide behind false statements doesn't mean you should be mad at him for it. People just love to find reasons not to like someone for what they do -- and it works, he's an artist, he talks the talk and walks the walk, if you don't like it stop singing along PERIOD!
Is staying at my house and is walking from an area outside of Riverside to Oregon spreading God's love. Pray that he gets what he needs and a lot of the stuff he wants!
So I'm watching "Jon and Kate Plus 8" and I remember saying to my mom at Christmas "This guy doesn't deserve to be treated like that -- I would leave her if I was him." GUESS WHAT! Rumor is they aren't together anymore, maybe I'm late but good for you Jon, I would not put up with her for longer than 5 minutes you managed a few years and 8 children! I don't know but their relationship made me think twice about divorce, in this case I say GO FOR IT and ind someone who isn't abusive (verbally in this case.)
This is the little CUZZO doing it really, really, REALLY BIG on the violin and I missed it! Look at him, he's baller right. I call him the lady killer!
The Soloist: Jamie Foxx is more of a gag than a talented, mentally challenged musician!
X-Men Origins: SUCKS (PERIOD)
Terminator Salvation: McG put his name on the opening credits twice, the dialogue was amateur, the performances were lifeless, and the story is void of any form of logical thought! It's an action movie, okay thats cool, but you can't jump of a plane into a 50 foot wave and expect a submarine to surface and pick you up, WAIT I FORGOT, it doesn't surface John Connor just appears on the sub. McG get a life and quit ruining films, I apologize to all the actors who wasted their time on set with this guy! If I was Christian Bale I would have yelled at someone on set to out of frustration!
